Camino de Santiago

Simon has just undertaken the Camino de Santiago in north west Spain, one of many ancient Pilgrim routes leading to Compostela de Santiago.

Simon covered the 120 Km / 75 miles route over three and a half days through the beautiful Galician countryside.

The Inglés route starts in the port town of Ferrol and climbs approximately 2500m finally plateauing for the last few Km’s into Santiago.

Carrying everything you need adds to the challenge especially if you overpack!

This Pilgrimage follows on from last years Marathon du Medoc completed with colleague Simon Gale.
Camino Inglés didn’t involve running but rather walking three marathons back to back!
Simon is now planning next years challenge.
Simon has set up a just giving page and welcomes any donation big or small. Having completed the walk it would be good to raise some much-welcomed funds for Parkinson's Jersey.

Simon has had the all-clear following States Covid testing but is following guidelines as required before returning to the office.
